Healthy Eating

Eating healthy doesn’t have to cost a lot of money!

Here are a few tips to help you start making healthier food choices:

  • Switch to fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk. It’s healthier and less expensive!
  • Don’t be afraid to buy frozen or canned vegetables. They are just as healthy, and can be bought in bulk on sale, and stored.
  • Drink mostly water. Tap water is free! Buy reusable bottles that you and your family can refill through the day.
  • You can find more healthy food tips, including meal plan ideas, at Choose My Plate!

Healthy Living

The best way to start being more active is one step at a time!

Whether you take a short walk during your lunch break, walk to a co-worker’s desk instead of emailing, or do stretches while you watch TV, every little bit helps improve your health!

You can find many more physical activity tips at resources at Let’s Move!

Healthy Feeding

When mothers choose to breastfeed, we all save money through lower healthcare costs and better health!

The Whenever Wherever campaign supports breastfeeding-friendly businesses and other public places, and informs the community about the importance of breastfeeding mothers.

For more information on how we all benefit from mothers choosing to breastfeed, visit the We All Benefit website.
